Dear Valued Ithaca Clients and Customers,
The Rapattoni (Ithaca Multiple Listing Service) vendor, which had been a victim of a cyber-attack on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023, has been restored. The system is not up to full capacity function, but core services are available. We will be working tirelessly with the Ithaca Board of REALTORS® and Rapattoni to ensure that data accurately reflects the status of each contract.
What does this mean for you?
Brokerages and agents now have access to Rapattoni (Ithaca MLS) and can see changes in data such as; new listings, price changes, under contract/pending status, expired, back on-market. Ithaca Board of REALTORS® Appraiser members are in the process of verifying data that may have been lost during the cyber-attack. New listings and status changes will be checked thoroughly for accuracy. At this time, the system has “core” functionality, but has not had a consistent syndication to third-party sites, such as; Zillow, Realtor.com, etc…
In an effort to circumvent unforeseen glitches, we have started the process of dual entry into another MLS system, known as Matrix (Rochester MLS). This will allow full listing exposure for our clients and readily available data for our agents, until such a time as the Ithaca MLS data has been verified and glitches in the system have been dealt with.
