I’m a transplant to the Ithaca area by choice. Born and raised in Philadelphia, I moved to Portland, Oregon with my husband in 1994. Seven years later we started researching the most perfect place to live in the entire country. Two years of research brought us here to Ithaca.
If you are looking for big city comforts like organic produce, and art house films, combined with rural beauty and small town conveniences like affordable housing and easy parking downtown, then this is your town.
If you are looking to open a business , Ithaca is full of fabulous buildings waiting to be transformed . The people here are smart and alternative but still old fashioned enough to appreciate the benefits of shopping and eating locally.
